Field Deployment Specialist
Novi, Michigan (home base) | Full-time | 30–40% travel annually
The role
We're looking for a Field Deployment Specialist to be the face of AG3 out where it matters — taking complete systems to customer sites, running live demonstrations, and training operators from first flight through full proficiency. This is a role for someone who's as comfortable flying in front of a room of soldiers as they are troubleshooting a system that just won't cooperate.
What you will do
Deploy AG3 systems in the field, including travel to customer sites and training events. Run live demonstrations that show the system end to end for customers and prospects. Train military personnel on our platforms, from first-time operators through experienced pilots. Build and deliver hands-on training curriculum and instruction. Fly our platforms proficiently and confidently in front of customers. Troubleshoot in the field, diagnosing issues from flight logs, telemetry, and hands-on inspection. Report field observations back to engineering so real-world experience shapes the product.
What you bring
Strong FPV or UAS piloting skills, comfortable flying in demanding, real-world conditions. Experience training or instructing others, ideally military or tactical operators. Ability to troubleshoot from logs and telemetry rather than guesswork. Willingness to travel extensively and represent the company in front of customers. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, or the ability to obtain one quickly. Comfort operating independently in the field, away from the shop and engineering support.
Nice to have
Prior military or tactical background, especially with UAS or counter-UAS systems. Experience with ArduPilot or PX4 flight controllers. Familiarity with mesh networking, swarming, or resilient comms concepts. Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills for field repairs.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is discussed during the interview process and tailored to experience. Additional benefits included.
Location
Novi, Michigan, with frequent travel to customer sites and training events.
