Drone Technician

Novi, Michigan | Part-time, on-site

The role

We're looking for a Drone Technician to build the systems that go into the field. You'll work hands-on in the shop — assembling airframes, wiring components, and testing units before they ship. Every drone you build gets flown by real operators, so precision here isn't optional.

What you will do

Assemble airframes, wiring, and payload components to build specification. Solder, crimp, and terminate connections to a high standard of reliability. Bench-test completed units, including power-on checks and functional testing. Follow build documentation and flag issues or inconsistencies back to engineering. Support quality control, including inspection and documentation of completed builds. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot build issues and suggest process improvements.

What you bring

Hands-on experience with electronics assembly, soldering, or precision manufacturing. Comfort reading wiring diagrams, build sheets, or technical documentation. Strong attention to detail — small mistakes in a drone build have real consequences downrange. Ability to work independently and stay accountable to build schedules. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools and processes.

Nice to have

Experience building or repairing RC aircraft, drones, or small electronics. Familiarity with hand tools, multimeters, and soldering equipment. Background in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or a related trade. Interest in defense technology or prior military experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is discussed during the interview process and tailored to experience. Additional benefits included.

Location

Novi, Michigan.
